Designernes eget julemarked (designer christmas marked) at DogA is such an admirable idea – in theory. It is especially spot on this year as the Occupy Christmas movement have encouraged everyone to buy their christmas presents locally. Although the atmosphere is wonderful, and there are a few gems – they are unfortunately few and far between. Compared to similar markets abroad, like the Finders Keepers market in Oz, Norwegian designers still have quite a long way to go. But the initiative certainly deserves a cheer, and it has stepped up it’s game since my last visit a couple of years ago.
